Alcien Samson, who owned the car j that won the 500 in 1928 (it was driven by Louis Meyer) died yesterday m a i'laming wreck on a dangerous spot known as Dead Man’s Curve near Newkirk, New Mexico. The pick-up truck he was driving plunged into the guard rail 011 a : bridge and tore up 80 feet of guard | fence and 13 posts before turning, into a flamer. The curve reportedly'1 takes an annual toll of lives. I
