Baseball And Golf Games SetBall Club Plays Two Road Games This Week; Golfers In Action OnceBy KEN HARTWICK The most extensive spring sports program in the recent history of Washington high school will be opened this week with two baseball games, and a golf match. B^th: squads have been practicing regularly for sometime and have done well in workouts but how tough they, are will not be very much in evidence until they go ud against their • initial opposition.. Kammer has settled on his starting lmeup but Hise has not yet selected his starting foursome from the nine candidates for the golf team^He expects to make his selection from among six boys who have been doing fhe best in practice Kammer plan* to start Jphn Nicholoff behind the plate, Gene Leininger at first fattse, Eddie Creseeaxe at short *top, Den Weiner at second base, Burt Webb at third base, Steve Tomaserich in right field. Sonny Better in center field and lim Bishop in left field With Vic Turkall, Mickey .McGuire or Dave. Doll on the mound.Selection of the starters was not exactly a difficult task as Kam has only 15 candidates, the others being Louis Ellias, pitcher, George Mitchell, catcher, Ted Tintor, second baseman, and. Norman Miller, outfielder.
