His father is employed at the Ford Division's Chester Assembly Plant.He was one of 70 children of Ford employes in 11 states who won scholarships in Ford’s l95S competition. Other winners includ ed John Sculli of 916 Jaackson St., Philadelphia, whose father, Francesco, works at the Chester plant, and James-'P. Gannon ol 2026 S. Bucknell st., Philadelphia, whose' father, James, , is employed at Ford’s Pennsauken, N.J., parts depot.Mike has ambitions of becoming a chemical engineer -and hassettled on Lehigh ^University as. the site of his higher .education. He stands six feet, three inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. 'He- effectively combines brawn and brains and has maintained better than average grades while participating in intermural sports. Mike is: vice president:.of the 'N-tional Honor Society and a member of Chester’s ScuLts Hi-Q team.He was notified of the scholarship award yesterday. in a telegram from Henry’- Ford H, president of the fund.
