Eves of Lakin, is being treated in St. Catherine's hospital in Garden City. for an injury suffered in a pole vaulting accident,A homemade pole the boy - was using broke as he was going to clear the crossbar.The Eves boy fell and a piece of the broken pole entered his body just under the left armpit and came out about the middle of his chest. The accident occurred on the school grounds here1 during the noon hour.The youth got. up from the vaulting pit and waked into the school office and faculty members notified his mother.i
