Linden, a member of the Spokane Motorcycle club, who fought under the name of “Riley” in the Boer war. has completed arrangements for a trip around the world on a motorcycle in 12 months, leaving Spokane nt 12 o'clock noon on May 1, whena* party rf his club mates will givehim a rousing send-off. He will ride jas far north as Dickenson, Mont.,thence to Pierre, S. D., south to Chicago, and east to New* York, traveling along the borders of the Great Lakes to avoid the mountainous country. Returning to this continent he will land at Vancouver, B. C., andride to Spokane. This is said to be•the first time that any one has attempted to travel around the world on a motorcycle, and it is believed that Linden will be successful, as he will be backed from start to finish ! by members of the club who are ambitious for a necord.
