Ramirez wins WSUC title on gutsRamirezKen Ramirez, a sprinter on the UW-Oshkosh men’s track team, showed what athletics are all about Saturday at the WSUC indoor championships at UW-La Crosse.Ramirez, won the 440-yard dash in 51.33 seconds despite competing on a severely sprained ankle.The senior hurt the ankle during the 880 relay. Twenty minutes later, he won the 440, but couldn’t compete in the 220 or the mile relay because the ankle had swollen. He left the track on crutches.Teammate Max Harn, a three time All-American from Berlin, won the mile with a time of 4:12.24 and the 880 in 1:56.47 to lead the team to a third place finish.
