Men's team places thirdBY PAT STIEGMAN A-T assistant sports editorThe UW-Oshkosh men’s track team placed three individuals and a relay team on the Wisconsin State University Conference All-Conference team as the squad finished third in the conference meet Saturday at UW-La Crosse.Max Harn and Ken Ramirez earned first-team honors while Steve Mullen and the mile relay team of Harn, Todd Resler, Chuck Otte and Jerry Turner were named to the second team.Oshkosh compiled 89 points in the meet to finish behind second-place UW-Stout, which scored 90 points.The top team, however, was UW-La Crosse, who swept over the rest of the field with 191 Zi points, the second highest point total in the 17-year history of the meet.Akin cited the fine performance of Ramirez, who fell with a sprained ankle during the 880-yard relay.Although Ramirez failed to return for the 300 or mile relay, he had enough to win the 440.“Kenny did just a super job,” Akin said.Harn, who is a three-time All-American, topped the conference in two events as well as well as being a member of the second-place mile relay team.Harn won the 880 run and the mile, then replaced Ramirez on the mile relay team.Men’s track see page 18
