Uniontown Boxer Drops Decision At McKeesportMcKeesport, Pa, (upd —A1 (Blue) Lewis, 221, of Detroit won his 15th fight in 16 outings with a technical knockout over Dave Russell, 183, of New Yorkj City, at 2:13 of the seventh round of a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout at the Palisades Arena here Wednesday night.Lewis scored with sharp rights to the head and body and dumped Riisseli to the canvas twice in the seventh round. Referee Andy DePaul stopped the match after the second knockdown when Russell’s left eye closed and he was bleeding from the nose.In addition to a 38-pound weight pull, Lewis stood 6-4 to Russell’s 5-li,Lewis’ victory earned him a shot at Von Clay of Philadelphia here April 24.In preliminary bouts, Basher QubU, 149, Toronto, scored a split decision over Denny Stil-letto, 160, Detroit in a six-rounder.In four-round matches Leroy Youngblood, 142, of Charleroi, Pa., won a unanimous decision over Terry Reed, 145, Akron, Ohio; Billy Kail 214, Pittsburgh, decisioned Tommy Hurley, 185, Uniontown, Pa., in the heavyweight class; and Jim Alford, 224, a bartender from Greensburg Pa., knocked out Ted Hamilton, 176, Fairmont, W, Va., in 0:39 of the thirdround.
