Negro Team Which Won Three Titles Plays Two Games at Casino ParkThe Chicago American Giant*?, three times negro world champions, arrived yesterday for their two-game eries with the Monroe Monarchs. The first gam* will he played this afternoon at Casino park, starling at 3 o’clock, with the second tilt scheduled for Monday af* ernoon.Ab* Saperstcin, Chicago sports promoter who owns the Giants, accompanied the squad here and yesterday said that the present team is the best negro baseball aggregation assembled since Rube Foster organized the Negro National league.Manager Johnson of the Monarchs announced last night that he will start “Red* Murray, recently purchased from the New York Black Yankees in an effort to win the first gam* with the champions. He said that he would call on other member* of his hurling corps if Murray failsThe Giants* lineup includes Torenti and Brown, reputed to be two of the hardest hitting negro ball players in the business.It was announced that the gates at Casino park will be opened at 1 30 o'clock this afternoon. A special section of the grandstand will he reserved for whit* patrons.
