A snapshot of those who shaped Greene CountyWORDSon...Les StilesIn 1904, Xenia had a semi-pro baseball team known as the Nationals. Les Stiles began his career as shortstopfor the team. The second year, he played second base, a spot he held for several years. When the National team was disbanded, hewent on to play forthe Reserves. Hestarted his career at the age of 16, and did have one opportunity to play with the majors, but a previous elbow injury kept him from playing there.
