ROPES-LUBBOCK TIE SCOREIN TUESDAYS GAMEThe Ropes school met the Lubbock school team on the High school grounds Tuesday afternoon, result-f ing in nine innings being played with a tie in scores. 6 innings were played without either side making a run. Bases were full several times, but ! good luck was with each team in | the field during the first 6 innings. In the* first half of the 7th inning the Ropes boys hit the ball hard and ran in four scores. Second half of j the 7th, Lubbock ran in one score i and the game remained so until the ! last half of the ninth inning when ! several long hits were made by Lubbock boys, resulting in making the score a tie. It was getting toward night and the Ropes team were anx-' ious to go home, so the game was called off.Both teams played exceptionally good ball for school teams-and no doubt at the county meet at Shal-lowater Saturday these boys will have a very interesting game. Both are about evenly matched.
