Boxers Are Training For Saturday Night Ring ContestThere will be a large crowd at the boxing contests to be held in Oxnard at the Oxnard Opera House on Saturday night.One of the events that will have particular attention from the followers of boxing will be the contest between Jas. Mur-letta of Oxnard and (Jus 1.arson of San Pedro.Both weigh 145 pounds and both are clever boxers. Murietta. who made his maiden appearance in Oxnard a short time ago.Is developing under the bouts he has had in training with Johnnie Barry, who will light in the principal event of the evening with P. Roman of Los Angeles.Barry has been doing careful and hard training for the past two or three weeks and will be the favorite here In the main ‘vent, although his opponent Is known as one of the best welterweights In this part of the country.There will also be a six-round pre- ants for which have not yet been au-llminary. the names of the contest- nounced.Jas.
