MIKE. GOLDEN MEETS EITZ: SNYS HOW DE-DO. MR. SIMMONS'|Mike Golden, the local colored pugilist, didn't -meet Bob Fitzsimmons in a two-round go at the theater last night as an evening paper announced. Last night Golden arrayed himself in a sweater, after the evening paper announced that lie would face Fir/., and told several friends that he would step over to the Journal office and notify the sporting editor that if he, Golden, j didn't meet Fitzsimmons it wouldn't bo because he didn't want to, but because Fitz wasn't willing.As luck would have it, Fitzsimmons himself stepped into The Journal office after supper and was chatting in the editorial rooms when Golden camo it.
