Cosmic balloon hovers over S.L).PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Thatcosmic ray detecting balloon was still hovering over South Dakota today.At 7 a.m., the balloon was sighted about 10 miles south of Mobridge at a height of about 80,000 feet. The position had changed from Tuesday when it was about 124,000 feet up and located above Winner.Scientists from the National Scientific Balloon facility said they were pleased with the progess of the balloon at this time.Instruments aboard the balloon, launched Tuesday morning, will measure cosmic rays for about 40 hours before the payload is parachuted back to earth on Thursday.
