The lawyer said they hired a man with a rig to drive up to the engineering building and walkIn boldly with Alec. As the man carried him in, two engineering deans on the steps were heardto exclaim, “My God, it's Alec!”THE NEXT DAY, the engineers brought their saint out and defied the laws to take him. A brawl ensued and Horton sadly says that when Judge Townes walked out and saw the fight, the three commented to him, “Something's going on here, Judge.” The engineers won. however, and kept; Alec.While the lawyers had Alec, they painted his back yellow' and carved “Law ‘10” into it, he said. “We took away the torch and shield and burned them so Alec would never be the same.” Horton said.Col.
