Huge BalloonFalls to EarthThat balloon which hovered brightly in the sky over San •Antonio Tuesday night and was confused wilh the Sky lab pass over, fell to the earth on a farm in eastern Bexar County Wednesday.The 408 foot diameter scientific balloon had been’ launched from Palestine at ? a.m. Tuesday and hovered 20 miles above San Antonio.During the night, the scientific equipment pack-' weighing 2,200 pounds was released and parachuted to earth. The huge mass of plastic settled to the earth early Wednesday,The remains of the balloon landed in trees on a ranch just south of IHtO at the eastern Bexar County line.The balloon was a test project of the National Scientific Balloon Facility at Palestine.
