High Honors Gained By Women StudentsIN the stately hall of Sydney University, and in the presence of Lord Wakeliurst, the Premier (Mr. B. S. B. Stevens), and members of the University staff, degrees were on Saturday conferred on graduates in six faculties. Distinguished women students were among the graduates.Some of these women will continue their University studies, but the majority are ready to take their position In the economic, legal, or cultural life of the city.A flight and attractive figure was Miss Jean Malor, who, among the Lliirty-Iour law students, was the only woman to be admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Laws.Mis Molor, who Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Malor, of Darling Point. has held a high place In examinations since the beginning of her course. Now she claims the honor of being the first woman ever to graduate with first-class honors In Law, besides which she 1ms won the Rose Scott Prize for International Law*, mid shares the John GeorgeDailey Prize for the must proficient graduate wit h Mr. James Massey. Miss Molorwill go to the Bar in August.In presenting another student. Miss Lilian Fraser Ross, to the Chancellor 'Mr. Justice liaise Rogers for the conferring of the degree of Doctor of Science. Professor W. J. She is now making a study ofdietetics at the Prince Alfred Hospital with three other girls, one of whom, Miss Peggy James. was also a graduate In Science on Saturday.One of the many women graduates tx cnier upon the teaching profession is Miss Rose Menzies, of Newcastle, who was among the ilirce women to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Economies.
