Elby’s OpensIn ScrantonWHEELING - Elby’s has opened its 13th Big Boy Family Restaurant and now provides employment to over 800 persons in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.The newest Elby’s Family Restaurant in Scranton, Pa. is the fourth Elby’s to begin operations this year. New units also were opened during 1969 in Steubenville, Erie, Pa. and Gettysburg, Pa.“This has been our most outstanding year in many respects, including the number of openings. We hope to break our record again in 1970,” Elby’s Official George Boury said.Marvin Franklin, CPA, of Wheeling is owner-operator of the new Scranton unit under a franchise awarded by George, Michael and Ellis Boury through Elby’s Big Boy of Pennsylvania, Inc.
