Three days battle at Sollum ends with British gains
After a three day fight in Sollum area British troops withdrew to forward positions. They captured hundreds of German prisoners, destroyed many enemy tanks and armoured cars, and claimed to have forced the foe to reveal his force strength. Over twenty enemy aircraft were shot down as reinforcements and a counter attack were repulsed.
