Why Certainly!♦ •jNot all women lt;pond their time discussing the merits of soap ver-sus detergents or ready mix cake' versus the hanrimtxeri varien Two \ ivacious ladies meeting ov cr the luncheon table in Harvev recently covered a variety of subjects ranging fiom “What is the right curriculum?” to Why socialstudies?”Quite a bit of time was spent en the topic of the extra curricular activities in high school with an animated discussion of the short class period versus the longclass period.Parents? Yes. PTA members? Yes. But most important these two women are members of highschool boards. ,Charlotte 'Mrs. Homerl Wolfe, lives in Homewood and was elected to the newly formed board for the Homewood-Flossmoor school district. Many of her friends were disappointed that she drew the; one year instead of a longer term.! But Mrs. Wolf feels that one year at the present pace of the boardmay be enough.When the hoard was interviewing superintendents they met eight times in one week They have averaged three meetings aIsecretary for the Markham P.T AI;and civic chairman for the Pottawatomie Women's organization.Dr. Rieke is chief physicist at the Chicago Midway laboratory of ihc University ot Chicago.
