The largest parade in the history of the Borough of North Arlington will get underway Saturday at 11 a.m. Over 2,000 will be in the line of march it is anticipated that an additional 4,500 spectators will view the Proceedings. The parade will assemble in the south east corner of the borough and will enter Ridge Mayor and Borough Council, town officials or dignitaries; and the King and Queen of North Arlington Joseph Bryan and Mrs. Effie Wilkens, on the North Arlington Businessmen's Association float. Division 2 and 3, will assemble on Elm Street. In Division 2 will be the Hawthorne Cabillaros, the Road from Harding Avenue. The route will be north on Ridge Road to Jauncey Avenue then west on Jauncey to River Road where the paraders will enter the North Arlington section of Bergen County Park. A reviewing stand will be set up at the Borough Hall with such dignitaries as Joseph Job, William McDowell, Alexander Allen, Harrison Williams and Henry Helstoski on hand. Ernest Rosenhower, master of ceremonies, will announce the divisions as they pass the reviewing stand. Prizes for the winning floats will be announced as part of the activities at the park. The honor division, to assemble at Forest Street, will lead the parade. It will include the Governor's Band; the 102nd Armored Group of the National Guard, comprising 125 men and 40 Vehicles; North Arlington Policemen Color Guard, the North Arlington Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, Fire Department vehicles, and a Fire Department float. The North Arlington High School band and twirlers will lead Division 3 which will include vehicles of the North Arlington Street and Water Departments and the National Community float. Devon Street will be the assembly point for Divisions 4 and 5S. The Mounteettes band will play in the former , comprised of the Town of Lyndhurst float and Council members, members of the Lyndhurst Fire Department Companies, and Rockaway-Neck Parsippany Fire Department and fire truck. In Division 4 will be the Knights of Columbus Color Guard, Bridgement, Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council 3428 membership and float, and (Continued on page 8) Sharon Coughlin MISS NORTH ARLINGTON.
