Final Rites Held ForMrs. Aitken IHattie Gilles pie, daugh - ]ter of Henry Kent and Ma-.i ry Calkin was born Jan. -• 10, 1876, in Elves ton, Illinois and departed from •.this life on Sept. 22, 1965 at the Clear View Nursing Home here in Clearfield--at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 12 days.She was the last of 10 children to depart.At the age of five years: she moved with the family in a covered wagon to Taylor County, Iowa, . . Here she grew to womanhood oi a farm near Conway, Iowa where on February 24th — 1897, she was united in-marriage to El vert Knox. To this union were born., two children, Harold B. o of Lenox, IoWa and. Beulah of Des Moines.Besides her own family she made a home for many relatives £ior periods,ol time.She was a good neighbor and friend always lend* ing a hand in case of sick ness as long as she was .able to do so.She was a long time me mber of. the Methodist Church and attended Green-wood Chapel as long as.. services were held there.Her husband and one gr anddaughter preceded her in death.Left to mourn her passing are the two children-one daughter-in-law, Lola four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives anc friends.Last rites were conducted at Varner- Crew, funeral home here in Clearfield with burial in the.,.
