Lois Buchana'h was born, on November 25th, .. . 1877 to Theodore and • .. Dora Buchanan at Clearfield, Iowa in Taylor Cou-nty--and passed from this life at her home in Bedford, Iowa oh September 12, 1965 at the age of 87.She was united in marri age in 1935 to Harry Aitk-en of Clearfield, Iowa. They made their home in Bedford soon after marriageLois was a life-long... member of the Methodist Church. She belonged to the Greenwood, Clearfield and Bedford MethodistChurches.She remained! active in her church work as long--as she could and always., showed great interest in.. the work of her church eve en after health would no . • j longer permit her to. attendShe was preceded in de- ath by her parents, her husband, one brother, Hugh “ and two sisters, Edna and Anna.She is survived by one.. sister, Edith B. Carlton of Bedford; one step-son, Harold Aitken of Lima. , Ohio one step-daughter, Florence Power of Arcadia, California--several nieces an*nephews . . great-nieces. . .great nephews, .and a num ber of great-great nieces-and nephews. She is also survived by many cousim and a host of friends.She always kept an interest in young people and enjoyed doing things for pe ople. She was generous .. and a very loving person.Last rites were conducted on Sept. 14th at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. J. Milton Kinney, officiating withburial in the Clearfield cemetery at Clearfield, la.
