Tess SOPHISTICATED INTELIFER has served time, so, these many dawns in Baltimore's various beer gardens, cabarets, clip joints, et cetera, without being jolted by any Sally Rand fan dance, or without being ruffled to the extent of a mild applause until the Sunday just sheared from the calendar. The management of the Yeah Man furnished the excitement no end . Buster Lee, Jr. is formerly of Detroit, Michigan, where he and his devoted wife made a name for them selves. She a sings, dances and does a number called the “Likker Bit.” Begining this Sunday, the Plantation will feature Sunday mati nee dancing.. . Usually if one drops Into the Plantation around one or two ages he will be given.added entertainment, for that is when performers of varied ability come in from other stay-up-late places and ‘do ‘sev eral of their best bits. “ O ® AT THE NEST where my good friend Bob Goodlow is the head man, although not the proprietor, I was surprised no end to find sixteen colored employees. Good music is furnished the dancers by Turk Kerr's orchestra, with Johnson, Jason, Booth, and Turk him self handling the instruments. His show has played at the largest and best theatres throughout the sections named. There 's no cover charge at the Dela Roba. The BRASS'RAIL GRILL, one of the city’s first beer emporiums, has gone its competitors one better in the field of amusement, by erecting a full stage and bringing new bands and revues to this staid oel Monumental City as te Banjo Bernie and his Cattonaires, direct from Atlantic City, will be the first attraction under the new policy, ’ of these musicians {s an entertainer. In addition the Brass Rail will have Miss Gladys Dorsey and the inimitable Marguerite of Chicago. There will also be a matinee performance every Thurs day from 4 to 8 p.m., with a regular show every night, ~~ In addition to the visiting band Buck Roscoe and Hicks, the musi cal trio already employed, will remain intact. * The Brass Ball continues its policy of offering his patrons a free Beatie to the holder of the lucky number. Everybody knows Archie Ford, who was at one time a manager at the Penn Hotel, but ‘latterly operated a Place at McCulloh and Mc Mechen Streets. The cuisine at the Villa is unexcelled!
