OPEN BAPTIST EXTENSION AT MT. GREENWOODNext Sunday the Morgan Park Baptist Church is to open an extension Mission in the Mount Greenwood district which is located at the corner of 104th street and Spaulding avenue?. The new church is to be under the direction of Captain Joseph A. Paul of the Morgan Park Academy faculty and it will start its work with Sunday school classes which meet at three o'clock Sunday afternoon. It is hoped that later other types of religious work .‘will be. included.The property upon which the church is located was partially donated by a Ridge real estate man and through the aid of the Chicago Baptist Executive Council the building was moved onto the lot. According to the Reverend Mr. Osborne, pastorof the Morgan Park Baptist church,the structure is in the midst of a rapidly growing district, and an excellent opportunity for practical Christian service is offered the workers.Among those who will cooperate with Captain Paul in the work of the extension are Hans Gunderson, Jerome Cheney, and Ronald Innes, all members of the Morgan Park church. Paul has had experience with religious work at his college at Ottowa, Kansas in addition to his connection with Baptist missionary work through his parents who were for many years connected with Baptist service. Pie is a graduate of Ottowa University, and has received his Master’s Degrees from the University of Iowa.
