MET CINCINNATI MAN'S NEPHEW IN HALL AND LAID HIM OUT WITH A BILLY, Perintown, Ohio, Sept. 29.—Resi dents of this vicinity are aroused over an assault upon Pearl Riley, the 10- year-old adopted son of Mrs. Robert Kernohan, a sister of Sol P. Kincon, of Cincinnati, which is said to have been perpetrated by a tramp who robbed the Kernohan residence this afternoon. The burglar entered the house dur ing the absence of the family, and took everything of value he coud carry with him. After returning home from school, Pearl entered the house by the side door. He was met in the hallway by the iomo’, and attempted to get out the door to give an alarm. Be fore he could move, however, he was struck over the head with a “billy.” He was then bound and gagged and lay ‘for several hours unconscious at the foot of the stairs, where he was found by Mra. Kernohan. When the alarm was given the local police, accompanied by a posse of armed citizens, made a search of the locality.
