A Serious Charge.News came to town Wednesday morning of a serious affair near Haven. As the story was told to the Gassbttjs reporter two men, Jim Kennedy and J. Douglass Muck.son of tho old man who accidentally shot his wife last spring, had been drinking heavily, and went to the home of an Irishman, Sam Chupp, living on the Dr. Aduma place, and abused the children. They threatened to run a pitch fork through a little boy, Which so frightened the mother that stie was taken sic*, had an abortion and died Monday morning last, about a week after the fright occurred.We are told that the two men have been arrested and preliminary set for next Monday.
