The Owensburg Register, rf last Wednesday, speaking of the late strike of the hands on the railroad tunnel at that place, says that a few days before Mr. Boord, the foreman of the men went to those parties supposed to manage the financial department of the road and requested that the men be paid. Not receiving any encouragement he returned to the work and took possession of all the tools. Since that time nothing has been done. TheRegister also says that over 200,000feet of lumber remain to be put in the tunnel before trains can pass through.
