Italian-Americansto honor Columbusllalian-Americans jn southern Cook county will honor Christopher Columbus at a dinner-dance Oct. 9 in the grand ballroom of the Martinique restaurant in Evergreen Park.The annual event is spon* sored by St. Anthony Italian church of Roseland Rev Florlan Girometta, CS, pastor of St. Anthony parish, said the dinner-dance will serve two pur poses - to honor Columbus, whom many believe to be one of the greatest explorers in history, and to hold a reunion of Italians of the area, especially former Roseland residents Mrs Lena Carh is serving as chairwoman and is assisted by Chicago Aid. Alexander Adduci, Mario Avig-none, Elvira Basano, Ar-mand De Qui, John Mitidiero, Florence Parise, Ray Rigoni, Carmen Adduc-cl, Joseph Carta, Louis Fri-go, Lawrence Panozzo, Sam Remirez, Emma Spiller, Dorothy Zenere, Louis Dalla Betta, Ernie Dalle Molle. A social hour (cash bar)will be held at 5:30 pm., dinner at 6 30 p.m., and dancing to the music of Ed* die Baldaccl and his orchestra at 8 p m There will be the drawing at 10*30 lor 32,500 in cash Tickets are 312 50 and may be purchased from any of the committee or by phoning the church rectory.
