Ringing down the curtai: on a successful season, the Naborhood Club Girls’ softball team will meet the Rockolas tonight at 8:30 o'clock on the Naborhood club field. 79th and State sts. Loretta “Lefty” Grabowski, who has won 48 while losing 11 games this year, will be on the mound for the Naborhood girls who are sponsored by businessmen in the vicinity of 79th and Statests. In order to encourage the girls during the season, trophies were donated by Ed Walsh, 12 E. 79th st., for the best batting average: George T. Scully, 7749 Emerald ave., for the best fielding average; George Mason, 7840 Indiana ave., for the most runs scored; Ald. William T. Murphy (17th), for the most runs batted in, and Fred die Lindstrom, for the most valu able player as voted by the fans. Joseph Freud donated a cash prize for the first home run in each game. The trophies will be award ed by Alderman Murphy at to night's game. The Naborhood girls tied for third place in the Chicago Metro politan league and have a season’s record of 95 wins and 33 losses. George Kellman is the team man ager and Arthur Follenweider and John Feehrey are the coaches.
