School Officials Pleased with Number of Non-Resident Students Enrolled. There are now 41 non-resident pupils enrolled in the local high school, 20 of whom are either fresh men or new to the system. The others are enrolled in the upper three classes. This enrollment will probably reach 50 before the close of the first semester and is now the largest non-resident enrollment in the history of the local high school School officials are well pleased with the number of non-resident en rollments when considering the fact that Fort Madison is rather unfor tunately located as a drawing cen ter for non-resident pupils on the river parks the boundary on the south, with small high schools to the south, west and north, all of which are within a radius of from 8 to 15 miles of Fort Madison. Fort Madison would draw a good number of students from Illinois were it not for the fact that students would be required to pay their own tuition and bridge toll twice each day. High school students in either Illinois or Iowa may attend high schools within their own stats free of charge to the individuals but upon going into another state and not locating permanently, they lose such a privilege. The following are the names and addresses of the non resident young people now enrolled in the Fort Madison high school Auwaerter, Alice, Donnellson Auwaeerter, Mildred, Donnellson Auwaerter, Wilma, Montrose, Best, Richard, Fort Madison randt, Dora, Fort Madison R.
