Chenoweth passed away at his home here Friday morning at 3:30, death following a stroke of appoplexy which he suffered on Wed nesday evening. Mr. Chenoweth was a retired farmer and had spent most of his life in the vicinity of Colfax moving to town about three years ago. He was a good citizen, possessing the friendship of everyone who knew him and, in his passing, the community as well as his family suffers an irreparable loss.The ..funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. L. Wilkinson of Thorntown officiating. Interment was made *in the Union cemetery near Clarks Hill.William N. Chenoweth, son of Arthur xand Jaxaline (Wall) Chenoweth; was born near Columbus, Indiana, April, 20, 1839, and depart ed this life at,his home in Colfax, September. 23, 1021, age 82 years, 5 months and 3 days, following a few days illness.When a young man he came to this section of the state and spent all of his life .near Colfax. On December 15, 1864 he was united in marriage to. Faster Dunbar. who died August 2, 1866. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Ida Timmons of Colfax and B. P. Dunbar survive.On April 4, 1867 he was married to *E!ixa Jane Gibson, and death separated this union on April 15, 1877. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Esther Murphy of Colfax, Elisabeth, deceased, and Chas., Chenoweth of near Lebanon.On October 18, 1888, he was again united In marriage to Mary O. King, who survives.He leaves to mourn their loss, two daughters, one son and one stepson, E. P. Dunbar of Colfax, nine grand-children and five great
