^•o Acnemeni. 0-Election in Marlboro.Bennettaville. 8ept. 16.—In the; second primary the race between R. J. Patterson, Jr., and W. F. Rog-1 er# for sheriff was an exceedingly j hard fought contest. Mr. Patterson won by a handsome majority.The contest for this office is not a regular election or nomination. The vacancy in the office was occasioned by the resignation ofSheriff J. B. Green, who entered the race for the senate and was elected without opposition. Gov.
