The Revival Meeting.As We go to press the revival meeting which has been conducted for the past ten days at the Baptist church is still in progress. Rev. J. W. Gillon has preached very powerful gospel sermons, The intense earnestness of the preacher, and his clear exposition of the Word has taken hold of the congregations that have heard him. Interest has grown from the beginning. Quite a number have professed salvation. The various pastors and congregations have attended and taken part in these services.The coming of Mr. Gillon has been a blessing to our churches and our community. We regret that he will have to leave us Friday night for his home in Memphis. We have learned to love him as a man and believe in him for his works’ sake, and will always bo glad to have him come again.
