The classes will work to have their candidate named Sweetheart for 1967.The varsity football team nominates three girls from each class and then each class selects one of these girls to serve as their candidate. The class winning the campaign wins the title of Sweetheart for 1967 for their candidate. Candidates are: Senior Class Jan Bixler, daughter of Mr. Mrs. B. R. Bixler, 5031 Doyle Avenue, Groves; Junior Class - Nancy Eddins, daughter of Mr. Mrs. Glen-dell Procell a, 5521 Doyle Avenue, Groves; and Sophompre Class - Loreli Smith, daughter of Mr. Mrs. Roland Edward Smith, 3210 Ash Avenue., Groves.The Variety Show competition among the classes will be presented on Monday, and Tuesday, October 9th 10th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Port Neches-Groves High School Auditorium.The crowning of the Football Sweetheart will be at the half time of the Port Neches-Groves Indians vs the Thomas Jefferson Yellow Jackets on Oct. 13th.
