Lack of transportation is the only thing which prevents that district from becoming a big producer of the metal which is now in such big demand. •CITY EXPRESS AUTOGOES TO THE DROPThe City Express auto left for Ptarmigan Drop this morning with Ira B. Hurd, the McCarthy merchant, O. A. Margraf, of Nizlna, and Thomas Ames as passengers. Mr. Hurd and the others will make an Inspection of some mining property in which they are interested and will spend ten days I at the property. The auto will re-1 turn to Valdes this evening as Joe expects to make a record run over the big hill.
