The Greencastle ball team came to our village. Friday evening with the in- ^ tentinn of abutting SlilesviUe out nr at least that is the report which came front our neighboring towns, hut they were not able to Chicago us. Joe Pulse, the An- , derson pitcher, who pitched for Greencastle. pitched a study game. The 8tilesville hoys were disappointed to find that Kitel- , jorg would not go in the box for the visitors. Our hoys are satisfied that Pulse is H great deal the b^t pitcher of the two. Calander played first for Greencastle, he did well. The reason Greencastle won the game is simply because they played n study game from beginning to end, while on the other hand the Stilesville hoys played horse, especially in the first inning, hv letting Greencastle score five unearned runs. Clarke and McCracken the horse team battery, did excellent work ami with any thing like the support they usually have would have won the game nicely, Baylessont, first base man did effective work as he always does. But as Tim Mttrphey said after the game, 'boys you ought to he satisfied a« this is the first game Greenrastle has won from you out of four.” Remember Greencastle that we are anxious for an invitation to return the came, as no club has yet been able to get two games out of three from Stilesville.128456780 Greencastle 5 0 10 1111 0—10
