The accident was occasioned by the team becoming frightened and running away.—The case of Thomas Noland, charged with making an nssanlt with intent to kill, upon Harvey Vaile, eighteen months ago, was called yesterday in the criminal court and continued until the next terra of court. He was released upon giving $750 bail.—Miss Mattie Chrisman, daughter of Judge John Chrisman, of Clay county, and niece of Hon. Wm. Chrisman, ot this city, died of consumption at her home in Liberty, on the 19th inst., ag*d sixteen years. Her loss is deeply felt by her many friends in this city.
