By Cpl. Marvin Carter Another new member to the Orderly Room staff of the 54th was welcomed the past week. Lt. DON HOHLER has transferred from the 3750th Training Squad ron to resume duties as Squadron Adjutant. He has replaced Lt. GROVER EADS who has been appointed Squadron Operations Officer. The first day of school has ar rived for many of our new French students. Considering the short time they have been with us, they have adapted themselves well to our organization and are learning to speak our language remark ably well. We wish them all the luck as future A E Mechanics, and may their stay in America be an enjoyable one. Our Morning Report Clerk, Pfe. Herman Wills is on a two weeks leave. Pfe. Robert ‘Romeo” Whiten is performing Morning Report duties in his absence. It appears as though Pfe. Whiten has been leading a double life lately, since Pfc. Whiten has been busy with the Morning Report and Set. Whiten has been enjoying night life. Several names have appeared on the promotion list this week. Promoted to the grade of Private First Class were Privates Charles Baldbridge, Robert Fritz, Warren Knighten, Thomas Olson, Joseph Gaccione, Frederick Peterka, Wil bur Startin and Louis Valacki. REFEREE PROBLEM—What’s _ this? A man boxing with his feet? Does he take the count when his gloves are on the floor? Maybe he is showing the judge, S/Sgt. John Flourney, Base Photo Lab, shot the picture during the bout between the two middle weights, Archie Ingram, standing (on his feet) and Louis Zwettler, during the semi-finals of the base-wide boxing tournament last Thursday night. Ingram won the bout on a TKO in one minute and 35 seconds of round two.
