Oklahoma Road Crew Working Highway 11Thoroughfare Eventually Js u, heWidened and Surfaced From kine to East of TulsaThe Oklahoma state road crew started work Saturday morning on the first half mile stretch on No. 11, fr0m the Arkansas state line west of Siloam Springs. The right of way for the highway will be. widened to 80 feetwhile the roadbed will be 50 feet in width.This is the first of the work tha has-been planned on the highwaj which^eventually will be resurfaced an, widened from the state line to the pav mg east of Tulsa., rerouting. the highway, a numbeOf curves will be removed and the dis tance will pe shortened, according tlt; highway engineers. The route planhet will leave the present highway east o: Dripping Springs and will run .directlj to plat hill, eliminating two curves anc four square corners. At Flint hiil the road -will follow a hollow east of the present road and will not only lessen the grade on the hill, but will cut out the hairpin curve near the summit of the hill on the present route.A bridge site has been selected at Flint creek, and a bridge will be built below Beck's mill, it is expected that a modern bridge will supplant the low water bridge now in use across the stream.
