Seattle, Wash., Sept. 27.—Tot words led to a quarrel, and the quarrel to blows which suddenly ended when Robert Pickprell, age 79, stabbed his daughter Nell Pickprell in the lunga at their home here last night. City hospital attendants said today there was amall chance for the girl's re covery. The stories of the two, tell the po lice differ. The old man said he was in bed, but kept a knife under his pillow, and fought in self protection when the girl struck him in the mouth. The daugh ter told the police he fought when she told him to keep quiet, Nell Pickerell has been a police character, known as “Harry Livingston” for a number of years. She has dressed in men's clothing for years and refused to wear skirts notwithstanding numerous jail penTences. Use the Journal Wanted Weer.
