George Haga-dorn and Edward Label! were called. They are acused’ of seduction on complaint of Isabel Arthur. Assistant District Attorney MacLean appeared for the prosecution and John Scanlon for the defense. The latter said that he intended to waive examination for the action of -the 'Grand Jury, but he asked the recorder to adjorn the case as he had-Aot the bail bond ready. He did not viant to have the hoys spend a day or two in jail. It was finally agreed lt;to •take an adjournment until Tuesday. Then the case of grand larceny against Clarence Howarth was called, Mr. Stev •ens represented the defense and he said that a civil suit in the case had been brought and settled. He said that he toLn-cQnversation with District Attorney Dyer and tbe latter said that ^ he was witling to have the warrant withdrawn if the complainant wished it.Tbe •assistant district attorney had not heard anything about this arrangement and after some discussion between the recorder and Mr. Stevens, the case was adjourned until to-morrow.
