George Haga-dorn and Edward Label! were called. They are acuse-d’ of seduction on complaint of Isabel Arthur. Assistant Bis-tfict Attorney MacLean appeared for the prosecution and John Scanlon for the defense. The latter said that he in.-tended to waive examination for the action of -the 'Grand Jury, but he asked the recorder to adjorn the case as he had-Aot the bail bond ready. He did not viant to have the boys spend a day or two in jail. It was finally agreed no •take an adjournment until Tuesday. Then the case of grand larceny againstClarence Howarth was called. Mr. Stevens represented the defense and he said that a civil suit in the case had been brought and settled. He said that he had a with District Attorney Dyer and the latter s-aid that ^ Bewas witling to have the warrant withdrawn if the complainant wished it.The •assistant district attorney had not heard anything about this arrangement and after some discussion between the recorder and Mr. Stevens, the case was adjourned until to-morrow.
