BIG BUILDING BOOM.The IIlt;in'ltyc correspondent fromthis city, has the following interesting data on the city imsrovements for the past year:There has been much building done in this city this season. A large number of new houses have been erected within the city limits, in addition to what repairing has been done to the various properties over the city, and there has been several business houses put up also. Craven, East Madison; N, A. .1.Young, East Madison; J, C. McCoid, East Monroe; Fred Crane, East Monroe: G. H. Brewer, East Monroe; E. W. Cole, East Monroe; Prof. Lincoln Antrim, East Washington; Prof. K. S. Galer, East Washington, Harry DeLaubenfels, South Jetferson; J.C. Bowman, South Jackson; Will Martin, West Henrv; WillWhite, West Henry; Thomas Throop,West Clay; H. L, Throop, West Clay; F. K. Leedham, East Clay,The above makes a total of twenty-three new houses in the year justabout closing. In a business way, there has been the Smith Linn building on North Main street, the Cold Storage building on North Main Btreet, the Standard Oil company’s tanks on the depot grounds and the new vault at the court house.
