DIED AT mOOKI.YN, IOWA.Intelligence has been received of the death at Brooklyn, Iowa, of Frank U. Evans, for many years an efficient and faithful locomotive engineer in the employ of the C. R. I. P. road. In the later years of his service for the Rock Island he had charge of a passenger engine and pulled the ••Firefly” on the southwestern division Two years ago he abandoned railr«.*d:ug and went into business at Brooklyn, low a. He was about fifty years of age and a brother*in law of Mrs 0. \V. Negus and W B Myers, of this city. He leaves a wife anil one son. He was prominent in Masonic circles and was a Knights Templar. The remains are expected from the west tonight and the funeral will occur Sunday afternoon under the auspices of Everts Comtnatidcry K T.
