Wallace Co.’s circus exhibited in Pittsfield yesterday,and at both after noon, and evening performance every seat in the tent was occupied, and it would be safe to add that every occup ant’ every seat was highly gratified with what he saw and heard. Those in‘stfendance got more than they an ticipated, and what is better, they saw it all for it was given in one ring. The circus is a good old fashioned one and one that has in many respects de- Cieed adventures over the more pre tentious affairs. The attractions are attractive as well as numerous and varied,the bareback riding,the trapeze performances, the jumping and tumb ling being especially fine and daring. As circuses go, this is a good, clean one, being especially free from those coarse jokes which too often form the most objectionable feature of a circus. The menagerie has 15 cages of select animals, beside the camel and elephants, and the concert and comic opera after the main show is worth witnnessing. The side-show above the standard.
