Roswell FM station switches to religionKRIZ-FM radio will become a total Christian station, general manager Teri L. Billiter said.The station will play middle-of-the-road Christian music 18 hours a day. About 75 percent of the music will be automated and 25 percent live, he noted.Final papers transferring ownership of the station to Gary Acker of Oklahoma City were signed Sept. 10. Acker owns a number of radio stations — in Shreveport, La.; Jacksonville Fla.; Springfield, Mo.; El Paso, Laredo and Amarillo, Texas — Billite r explained.Billiter was general manager of Acker’s KWAS in Amarillo for six years before coming to Roswell.He said that KRIZ not only will present Christian music, but hopes to become an extension of on-going church ministries in the area. They are non-denominational, and will air special church programs, revivals, concerts, and ministries as well as youth programs.KRIZ also will present a number of community affairs program, the new general manager said.“We are very positive about Roswell's future.Billiter graduated from Wichita State University in 1972 with a degree in radiotelevision journalism.
