J. Gaven.M.L.A.) officially opened an exhibition of James Coleman's paintings at the Salad Bowl In Ferry Road at 11 ajn. last Monday.The exhibition included twelve canvasses with the local view as their theme portraying Currumbln Miami. Surfers' Paradise Southport, and Labrador scenes.Mr. Coleman obviouslywas attracted by Currum-bin Beach as three of his paintings were of Currum-bin.A member of the Royal Arts Society, and regarded as a leader of the orthodox school of painters.
