A reporter dreams of a break like that. Stolen bikes are in the news a gain. After the gas rationing was abolished, bikes were left alone. Now, with the threat that ration ing may be resumed, it looks like law-breakers are getting themsel ves all ready to face the shortage with a gas-less bike, Kitty Rutherford has been dav ing a lot of blushing today and the reason for it all is the kid ding and the serenading she has been receiving from the other Members of the office force over the beautiful bouquet of red roses that her One and Only,” Charles Cheney, Coxswain, with the US. Navy, sent her. The gals have been Serenading her with that popular song, “Bell Bottom Trousers ! Was the little lady excited when she got a telegram that her mama would be through Clovis, at 2:30 a. M.. today (Tuesday) on her way to California. Her mother hadn't realized the train would pass thru here until she got as far as Wel lington, Kan. (She came from De troit.) This morning the little lady is a little sleepy but she had a won derful visit with her mother, al though only for a half-hour. (This item had to be smuggled past the little lady, because she happens to be our charming SE.)
