The Galveston and Houston Maritime Associations have been invited to meet Wednesday with gulf coast district ILA represent atives to discuss a new deep sea and coastwise longshoremen's con tract, according to Michael J. Dwyer, district ILA president. The present contract expires Sunday, and no action has yet been taken on ILA demands for wage increases and vacation provisions for their new contract. The union is asking a 20¢ hourly wage increase, time and a half overtime based on a 40-hour in stead of a 44-hour week, double time for Sundays and holidays, and provisions for vacations.
